English Courses at APEC

At APEC our courses are designed to support you to confidently talk and write English naturally and well, in school, university, traveling abroad, while eating out, when meeting new people and in all business situations APEC’s mission is to give you the confidence you need to speak the English your need.

Our teachers

APEC teachers are native speakers with teaching qualifications from Australian, New Zealand, Europe and Great Britain, the USA and Canada. All are experienced English teachers and receive ongoing professional development training.

Your Course Timetable

Your English courses are organised to suit your needs and are conducted at your place of residence or work, or at the APEC’ English International School on Charoensanit Wong Road, Bang Plad, Bangkok.

Classes are set from morning to late evening, seven days a week. You decide what class, and how often you want to attend.

You can also choose to study in the comfort of your home (speak to our staff about the fee for home study), or your place of business, your office, or at APEC’s School on Charoensanit Wong, Bang Plad, Bangkok.

FAQ’S

Will my grammar be corrected?

Our thinking: English children ask their mum for a glass of water, or go to the toilet, before the age of 3, with no grammar problems, hopefully, because they hear, and speak, English. We believe speaking first will go a long way to correcting grammar, naturally and well.

Your teacher is trained to listen-for-recognition of the meaning of what you say, and then may, if really necessary, rephrase the question. At APEC we really want time spent on talking, reading and writing good English on the lesson focus.

Will I learn grammar and vocabulary?

Yes, naturally. Good grammar means understanding the rules, or means, by which English is structured. You speaking your thoughts and feelings in English with confidence is how we design your lessons, so as to teach grammar ‘behind the scenes’ encompassing new grammar or vocabulary.

Am I progressing?

Your results are the best judge of your progress, so our assessment system is designed to confirm to you, and us, your progress in terms of where you are doing well and where we can work. You, and Parent’s, are encouraged to talk to the teacher about progress.

You, and all Parents, are offered an interview with the teacher at the end of, or during, each course to discuss performance, further study and course work.
